About MadMAT

MadMAT, the Madison Museum of Art and Technology, is a technology-driven digital art museum in Madison, Wisconsin. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and engage the community while pushing the boundaries of what art can be, embracing new media and innovative artistic expressions.  Learn more about the vision and who we are.

We will be at Aubergine in September 2026! This is Willy Street Coop’s gallery, next to Cafe CODA: 1226 Williamson Street.  We’ll have tons of interactive art as well as our collected art from around the world.  Please join us for the Opening Reception on Friday, September 4, 5 to 8pm.

We present the art in three themes, so be sure to visit us often:

We are generally open Sundays noon to 5 and Tuesdays & Thursdays 11 to 2, but there are some exceptions.  Please check the following schedule for open times before coming.

The Collection

We value art that is digital, animated, interactive, co-created by viewers, and made with code and machines.  We promote artists from marginalized groups, and local artists.  AI art will be a small part of the experience.  Check out our collection.
