Flower Jest, First Blush

Augmented Reality Art.

First Blush captures that charged moment before a first kiss, where time slows and everything feels fragile and brave. It’s the opening piece in Flower Jest, a four-part AR series that imagines what plant communication might look like if we could see it, turning invisible exchanges into tiny animated moments of emotion.

When viewing in person, the viewer scans a QR code with their phone, then points their phone at a still art piece, and the augmented reality art takes its place in the camera view.

Made with Procreate, Spline, Blender, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lens Studio 5.

Flower Jest, Just Joking

Augmented Reality Art.

One flower looms, petals wide and bold. The other flinches but doesn’t flee. It’s unclear whether this is flirting, teasing, or something a little more sinister, but that’s the tension. Just Joking is a scene about power, ambiguity, and emotional posture, drawn from Flower Jest, a series rooted in research on plant signaling, chemical, fungal, and sonic, that asks what those invisible exchanges might look like as feeling.

When viewing in person, the viewer scans a QR code with their phone, then points their phone at a still art piece, and the augmented reality art takes its place in the camera view.
