The most important meal of the day #8, October 2023

Generative Art (code with random elements).

An amalgam of feelings about the days shortening and the weather greying, while still needing to get a spring in my step in the morning.  So colors, motion, and a trying to get a “pleasing” feel to it.

Maybe all you need for breakfast is art? (and coffee)

Mecha Breath #109, April 2024

Generative Art (code with random elements).

Taking a very simple concept and sticking to it. Here we divide a space in Voronoi cells, extrude the defined polygons in 3D, and then rotate them along one of the polygon’s sides.

I was doing research on materials and lighting when I tried this and thought it had some generative merits, and then I heard of the event, so I decided to create a generator with it.

All the colors/tints come from the lights, environment and material properties, the volume themselves are always “white”.

ProcGen Entomology #295, March 2022

Generative Art (code with random elements).

Realtime 3D in-browser procedural generation of insect-like models, with a look reminiscent of vintage entomology illustrations.

The project is about the fact that insects are cool first and foremost.
This is also about nostalgia.

Everything is procedural except for the font. The exposed features only describe the most visible parts.

I wrote mord words, about where it came from, and some technical details on the procedural aspect at:
