The sound of the wind whispers, longing to carry you away.

With a shattered face, you see others in the distance, they are close, but so far away; the emptiness of this edge is closer than any of them.

But, is it? Looking within isn’t hard, it’s just a glance and knowing, but it’s painfully hard to see.

Disjointed, you tell yourself over and over again that it wasn’t for lack of effort.
